Getting You Into IU Indianapolis is a multiday graduate and professional student development event available for prospective applicants from varied backgrounds with a demonstrated interest and eligibility in pursuing a doctoral or MFA program offered by Indiana University in Indianapolis.
Participants engage in:
- Networking opportunities with IU Indianapolis faculty and staff
- Visits to departments of interest
- Meet and greets with current graduate students
- Professional development workshops over a range of topics such as mentorship, preparing an application package, finding research opportunities, and more.
At the end of the program, participants receive:
- One application fee waiver to the program of your choice ($70 value)
- Professional Headshots
- Program Completion Certificate
**International students are eligible for this program if they are attending a domestic college or university
I really appreciated everyone’s friendly and warm demeanor. Organizers were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Efforts and attention to detail did not go unrecognized. I was able to learn more not only about grad school but also the department and expectations. Hearing from both faculty and current grad students helped in getting a well-rounded perspective.
There was a wide range of interests among the cohort, therefore I was able to learn about the various type of research opportunities and programs available at IU. Whether I attend or not, I do now have a better idea of the school, and would be able to recommend the institution to other students even those who are not in the same field as I am.
